Discounted Tick Testing Now Available

Cape Cod Cooperative Extension received a grant from Cape Cod Healthcare under their Community Benefits program for 2016.  The grant will subsidize tick testing by the UMass Laboratory of Medical Zoology.  Cape Cod residents will pay $15/test that normally costs $50.  The test results are intended to help doctors better diagnose tick-borne diseases like Lyme, but as well as babesiosis, anaplasmosis and the recently detected relapsing fever.
