VISTA Volunteer Halsey O’Loughlin Joins Children’s Cove Team!
Founded as Volunteers in Service to America in 1965 and incorporated into the AmeriCorps network of programs in 1993, VISTA volunteers are placed in service organizations across the United States, aiming to build capacity and enhance those organizations’ ability to serve their communities. VISTA Volunteers commit to one year of full-time service, for which they receive a modest living stipend, a chance to build upon their professional skills, and have a meaningful volunteer experience.
This year Children’s Cove welcomes VISTA Volunteer Halsey O’Loughlin. Halsey grew up in Santa Cruz, CA, and has been visiting her family on the Cape for over twenty years. Hasley holds BA’s in Sociology as well as Human Development & Family Studies from the University of Connecticut.
For the next year, she is serving as an AmeriCorps VISTA to support the mission of Children’s Cove in the community and hopes to help the volunteer program grow and thrive during her time here at Children’s Cove. Welcome aboard Halsey! We thank you for your service.
