Cape Cod Commission is Seeking Public Input on Your Vision for Cape Cod’s Transportation System
What’s your vision for Cape Cod? Replacement of the existing Canal bridges? More sidewalks? More bike paths? Increased bus service? Improved pavement condition? Safer roadways? Self driving cars?
The Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) sets the long-range vision for the transportation system on Cape Cod. It is the primary means for allocation of federal and state funds for the Cape’s transportation needs. The Cape Cod Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), a collaboration of local, regional, state, and federal transportation officials, is charged with updating the RTP this spring. To kick off the RTP development process, a series of Listening Sessions have been
scheduled to gather early public input.
For those who are unable to attend a listening session, an online survey will be made available on Tuesday, February 5, 2019. To learn more about upcoming meetings and participate in the online survey, visit www.capecodcommission.org/rtp
