Many caregivers are providing care for someone while also working and caring for their own families. Even though caregiving can be rewarding, it can also be stressful. Unfortunately, many caregivers will forego their own needs to care for others.
Connecting with others is a vital part of the caregiving equation. To help caregivers, Helping Our Women is offering a caregiver support group, for participants to meet in a safe and confidential setting, talk with others in a similar situation, reduce anxiety and learn about practical advice.
For over 25 years, Helping Our Women (HOW) has built a strong system of supportive services to meet the needs and empower women with chronic, life-threatening or disabling medical conditions living in Provincetown, Truro, Wellfleet, and Eastham. HOW also provides advocacy, referrals, and resources to all community members. To learn more about HOW to visit www.helpingourwomen.org.
