Residents who own or have access to 3-D printers and are interested in creating and donating the headbands used to hold plastic face shields are asked to use the FDA-approved design and printing specifications that can be found at this link: designthatmatters.org/covid-19.
The headbands can be printed at one of two 3D printing websites, thingiverse.com/ or prusaprinters.org/.
The face shield itself is a standard plastic, letter-sized report cover attached to the headband.
The MRC wishes to credit the PatriotLedger.com publication and reporter Wheeler Cowperthwaite (4/1/20) for the face shield information.
