Meet Barnstable County’s Nutrition and Food Safety Educator
Today’s Barnstable County Employee Feature goes to Kim Concra! Kim has worked at the Cape Cod Cooperative Extension for the past 14 years. Kim conducts safe food handling classes and ServSafe instruction for Barnstable County foodservice workers and managers. She also champions community access to fresh, local food, teaching nutrition workshops, food pantry nutrition education, and preschool and parent nutrition education.
When asked what she likes best about working for Barnstable County and the people of Cape Cod, Kim said,“I never get bored! I am able to work and collaborate with many groups of people and organizations. Working with all age groups from preschool to seniors is very rewarding — I learn so much from them.”
