Barnstable County Human Rights Advisory Commission Accepting Applications for 2022 Vacancies

Commission aims to continue building a strong team of advisors promoting human rights on Cape Cod

September 16, 2021 (Barnstable, MA) – The Barnstable County Human Rights Advisory Commission (BCHRAC) seeks candidates to fill vacancies beginning January 1, 2022. The (9) member volunteer Advisory Commission promotes equality and human rights throughout the County.

Responsibilities of the Advisory Commission members include attending monthly BCHRAC meetings, participating in at least one board committee, and assisting the Human Rights Coordinator in educating the public about the BCHRAC through community and educational activities.

An interested candidate must be a permanent resident of Barnstable County. Persons with varied language skills and diverse backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply. A letter of interest, a resume, and bio should be sent by e-mail to:  susan.quinones@capecod.gov, or via mail to Susan Quinones, Coordinator, Barnstable County Human Rights Advisory Commission, P.O. Box 427, Barnstable, MA 02630. Applications MUST be received no later than Friday, October 15, 2021, at 5:00 pm.

Interviews will commence the week of October 25, 2021, for those selected.
