Apply to Join One of Two Advisory Groups!

Do you have personal experience with methadone, buprenorphine (Suboxone) or other substance use treatment and services in Massachusetts? If so we want to learn from you!

The Massachusetts Bureau of Substance Addiction Services (BSAS) is recruiting for two different groups: the OTP Patient Advisory Committee and the Bureau of Substance and Addiction Services (BSAS) Consumer Feedback Advisory Board. The table below explains the purpose and structure for each group.

Application deadline: November 4, 2024 at 9:00 AM. You will be contacted within a few weeks after the deadline with our decision.

Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) Patient Advisory Committee (PtAC)Community Feedback Strategy Board (CFSB)
Purpose: Share your experiences with methadone
and other medications to help improve OTP
services in Massachusetts
Purpose: Help improve how the state collects
feedback from people using substance use
treatment services in Massachusetts.
Membership: 12-15 membersMembership: 7-10 members
Meetings: 4 meetings a year for 90 minutes by
phone or computer through November 2025.
Meetings: 8 meetings by phone or computer
through June 2025.
Stipend: $150 stipend per meeting.Stipend: $150 stipend per meeting.
Timeline: One-year term, starting November
2024, with the possibility to continue
participation.
Timeline: Monthly meetings from November
2024 to June 2025, with the possibility to continue
participation
Who should apply:
Anyone who has accessed or received methadone
or buprenorphine (Suboxone) and related services
at an OTP in Massachusetts
Who should apply:
Anyone who has received, or is currently
receiving, substance use treatment services in
Massachusetts.
