Barnstable County Human Rights Advisory Commission Seeks Videos Celebrating Human Rights Work

December 10, 2024 (Barnstable, MA) – The Barnstable County Human Rights Advisory Commission (BCHRAC) is pleased to announce its upcoming social media campaign, launching on December 10th, International Human Rights Day. This campaign is a call to the community to submit videos highlighting human rights achievements across the County, celebrating the impactful work being done by individuals and organizations.

Observed each year on December 10th, this day commemorates the signing of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by the United Nations, emphasizing the importance of protecting and promoting human rights globally. BCHRAC has long honored this occasion by highlighting the impactful efforts of individuals and organizations within Barnstable County.

BCHRAC aims to amplify these efforts through a dynamic social media campaign. The campaign will feature videos from community members and organizations, sharing what human rights mean to them and showcasing their work to uphold rights and dignity for all. The goal is to spread positive stories that illustrate how our community supports and protects human rights.

Human rights take on unique meanings for everyone, and BCHRAC is committed to celebrating this diversity. Submissions can reflect personal or organizational perspectives on human rights, as well as initiatives that promote dignity and equality. Join BCHRAC in this celebration by sharing your stories and being part of this collective effort to honor human rights.

Video submissions celebrating human rights work on Cape Cod must be submitted by December 23, 2024, and will be shared on social media and on the BCHRAC website. Submission guidelines can be found at: https://www.capecod.gov/Human_Rights_Video

Help us start the new year with positivity and increased awareness of human rights at the local level by highlighting the incredible work already being done on Cape Cod.
