Celebrate World Fish Migration Day at the Harwich Herring River
Celebrate World Fish Migration Day in Harwich along the Herring River. Barnstable County Cape Cod Cooperative Extension, in collaboration with the Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries (MA DMF) the Harwich Conservation Trust, and Town of Harwich Conservation Commission, will be hosting a World Fish Migration Day event at the Bells Neck Conservation Area in Harwich. Staff from MA DMF and CCCE will be present from 9AM – 1PM to show how the electronic fish counter works, answer questions about monitoring and research of sea-run fish, and provide opportunities to observe migratory fish close up! The fish ladder is located at the West Trailhead entrance.
