BARNSTABLE (MA) October 17, 2019 – The Barnstable County Regional Emergency Planning Committee (BCREPC) held a conference call at 10:30 a.m. October 17, 2019, to review the effects of the high winds that pummeled Cape Cod and the region overnight and continuing into Thursday.
Intense low pressure over central NH will continue to slowly pull away. However, the intense pressure gradient between departing low pressure and high pressure to the west will create an increase in winds during the day Thursday. A high-wind warning has been re-issued for the Cape and Islands until 6 p.m. Thursday.
