Thomas “Tom” Bedard
Pocasset House
Hi, my name is Thomas, and I grew up in Dartmouth, Massachusetts. I’ve always had a fascination with the world around me, either being the land or the sea. I’ve also always been interested in the people and how we affect the world around us and how it affects us. I would like to look at those interactions and see if they can help us more or if we can give back to the planet. Teaching the community about our impact is also very important to me as it may help new people appreciate what we do.

Sarah Jane “SJ” Stout
Pocasset House
Hi! My name is SJ and I am originally from Charlotte, North Carolina. I graduated from Western Carolina University in May of 2023 with a B.S. in Psychology and minor in Sociology. Throughout my studies, I have had the chance to study and understand how humans impact the environment and vice versa. During college, I worked for the university’s campus recreation center as a lifeguard. I was also very involved in the community surrounding my university, volunteering with the county’s Guardian ad Litem program, where I helped advocate for children who were being abused and neglected. In my free time, I love to hike, hang out with friends, swim, read, and ride horses. I have always been very passionate about serving others and my community. This passion for serving, paired with my love for the outdoors, made ACC the perfect fit! I am excited to have the opportunity to gain new experiences and learn more about environmental conservation in exciting new place.
