Cape Organization for Rights of the Disabled (CORD) Emergency Preparedness Workshop

Extreme weather is happening more frequently than ever before. Are you prepared? Join Cape Organization for Rights of the Disabled (CORD) on October 11th at 2:00 PM to find out!

People with disabilities, family members, service providers and first responders are invited to learn about local emergency resources and procedures and steps to protect yourself during an emergency.

LEARN:

  • How to shelter in place
  • What supplies you need in an emergency
  • Regional emergency shelters
  • Tips from the Barnstable County Regional Emergency Planning Committee
  • How to create a ‘go-bag’

The first 30 people to RSVP will get a free go bag gifted by the Nicholas G Xiarhos Memorial Fund and Big Nick’s Ride for the Fallen, in memory of Nick and Cape Cod Fallen.

This is a scent-free event. Please do not wear scented products, including perfumes, scented deodorant and clothes washed scented laundry products.

Let us know by Monday, 10/7 if you need communication access. You must attend to receive the free go-bag.
