Barnstable County, Cape Cod Center for Public Safety Training, is accepting applications from qualified individuals to provide fire training services from a prepared lesson plan for specific program areas utilizing instructional aids and evaluation tools under the supervision of a Fire Instructor II or Program Coordinator to achieve pre-determined learning outcomes and program objectives. Minimum of two (2) years fire service experience with a recognized fire department. Proficiency with using technology and web-based systems. Certification to Level of Fire Instructor I (as defined by NFPA 1041 – Standard for Fire Service Instructor Professional Qualifications) or above by an accredited agency of the National Board on Fire Service Professional Qualifications (“Pro Board”) or the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (“IFSAC”), Certification to Level of Fire Fighter I/II (as defined by NFPA 1001 – Standard for Firefighter Professional Qualifications) or above by an accredited agency of the National Board on Fire Service Professional Qualifications (“Pro Board”) or the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (“IFSAC”), NFPA 1403 – Standard on Live Fire Training Evolutions – current edition (if involved in live fire training), ICS 700 & 800.

This is part time, on-call position.
